The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is the leading charitable funder and advocate of Type 1 Diabetes research worldwide.  It was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with juvenile diabetes; a disease that strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin-dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. Our mission is constant:  to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

Our success is greatly dependent on the generosity of people like you who support our cause.  JDRF has the honor of giving 85% of all funds donated directly to research.

Monumental strides are being made in research each with the potential to change medical history.

MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM

If you work for (or are retired from) one of the many employers with a matching gift program, you may be able to make your charitable contribution count more than once, even twice! Simply contact your personnel office and ask for a matching gift form. Some companies even offer the form online for your convenience.

What we do: Our chapter takes your form for matching gifts which you complete the employee portion of along with your donation and we do the rest. We will notify with a note once we receive the matching gift or if we are told the company does not participate with our type of charity. It is simple!  We always send a card to you to let you know we have received the matching gift!!

If you make your gift electronically, with a credit card, email us a copy so we know what to track. We are only notified of a match when we receive it or if the donor sends us the donation and the form. Send to mpapa@jdrf.org and we will immediately start the tracking of this gift.

Think of the possibilities- at work fundraisers where everyone participates and applies for Matching Gifts; Volunteer to Join our Walk for a Cure event and collect donations at work and supply everyone with a Matching Gift form to submit with their donation….talk about dollars piling up fast. Just think how quick and easy this could be!
